Choose a Story Pack
Slide a physical Story Pack into the side of the box. It sets the world: where the story happens and who else lives there.
Press the button and talk
Your child starts with any idea, even "a magical mystery story." MirthTale guides them through a few creative choices: the character, the setting, the adventure, and, if they like, the ending.
AI turns the choices into a book
MirthTale keeps every choice your child made and uses AI to write the story and illustrate every page. If the ending is missing, it writes one, without asking again.
Print it, hold it, read it
The cover shows on the display while the pages print. The book slides out of the slot, bound and ready, in minutes. The display goes dark and stays dark.
The creative choices
MirthTale guides a child through a few choices. Each is optional, and whatever your child offers is kept exactly.
Who
Characters. The hero is always the child's choice, even inside a Story Pack world.
Setting and adventure
A place inside the Story Pack world, and the problem at the middle of the story. This is where most children come alive.
How it ends
When a child can articulate an ending, the ending becomes theirs. When they can't, MirthTale's AI supplies one gently.
Ages and siblings
MirthTale keeps a simple age setting. Drag it up or down and the AI generates the same core idea into a different book: shorter sentences and bigger pictures for a two-year-old; more pages, more words, and a longer arc for an eight-year-old.
Two children in the house can tell one story together and each take a book to bed that fits them. Same fox, same lost moon, two different books.
The title is always theirs
Whatever your child called the story goes on the cover, spelled the way they said it, with their name underneath. The book is theirs even when MirthTale wrote most of the words.
What is on the device
The age dial
Turn it from 2 to 9 and the next book is written for that age. Everything your child said stays the same.
One cable
Plug it in and it is ready. There is nothing to pair and no screen to set up.
One button
Press to talk. Let go to stop. A soft light shows it is listening.
The slot
The finished book comes out here, folded and sealed along the spine.
The small display
Shows the cover while printing, then goes dark. It never shows the story.
Story Pack bay
Physical inserts change the world. Swap them like a cassette.
